Mid Century Modern describes a specific style that was created between the 1930-to the mid 1960’s. Where as Modern is just describes what is currently in style. So that is basically the only difference :)
I always thought Modernism was it’s own style that fell roughly between 1910-1960. Like Bauhaus is considered Modern (with the capital ‘m’), but then it’s not considered Mid Century Modern…so what’s the difference? Or is there one? Or am I crazy?
Sorry if that made no sense :( Also, I’m probably mixing my architecture/lit/design/art definitions together.

Yes! Mid century refers to a sort of retro look, like Frank Lloyd Wright meets the Jetsons.
